Project record / NE 01 — Bedford kitchen study
Opening the center of the house.
A fictional project record showing how North End could explain design choices, scope, and communication. The photographs are separate stock images used as mood and finish references. They do not document one literal project.

The idea begins with a practical question: how can the kitchen hold everyday traffic while still feeling like a room, not a corridor?
Warm wood, quiet hardware, and a simple lighting rhythm give the space character. The working side stays efficient; the island stays open for breakfast, homework, and conversation.

Image note: these are independent licensed stock references, not before-and-after evidence and not one real North End project.
Next step
Good records make the process visible.
Room goals, tradeoffs, materials, and project communication deserve as much attention as the final photograph.
